Known for its film and entertainment industry, Los Angeles, California's largest metropolis, sprawls from the San Fernando Valley to the north, San Bernardino valley to the east, to the beaches of Santa Monica and Malibu at the Pacific Ocean to the west.  Los Angeles is the second most populous city in America.

  • The city is a cultural mecca with more than 100 museums and cultural attractions: e.g. The Getty Center and The Getty Villa, Griffith Observatory, Grammy Museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Broad and many others.

For a day excursion, Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley are located within 2-3 hours drive from Los Angeles. Offering 350 days of sunshine and blue skies, Palm Springs invites its visitors to outdoor adventures such as hiking, golf and relaxing in the many resorts & spas. 

Also popular excursion destinations are Santa Barbara, a 2-hour drive on the coastline to the north, and San Diego,  a 3-hour drive towards the south from L.A.
